| Howdy, Presidio That's the Executive Inn in Comfort. Ain't fancy but it's usable and you won't be spending much time in it anyway. |

| Fredericksburg would be best for location, that's were the banguet will be and it's about 12 miles to the range from town. The down side is their motels don't come cheap. 70 to 100 a night with a big bump on weekends. Kerrville motels are less cost and about 25 miles from the range with many of them right on the freeway exit. Kerrville will be about 25 miles to the banquet hall. There is a motel 6 on the same hwy as the banquet and range, very close to the banquet. The Best Western is about the same or closer but pricey, real nice place though. Comfort has a hotel on the interstate about 8 miles from the range and maybe 20 miles from the banguet. I heard rooms can be had for 50 bucks a night. Some of these locations will have contact info on the registration form (not ready yet). Or you can google for more info. For those reading this who came this year, the banquet location is moving to a nicer building that is closer to the range and real easy to find. |

| Have the event penciled in.....but got a few questions. This would be my first time there, and seeing as how I be coming from the Houston area, can you recommend any hotels and contact numbers where I can hang my hat at night? |

| fresh smoked brisket, sausage, bbq sauce, tator salad, dusty's dirty beans, bread, onions, pickles, ice tea. some kind of desert and maybe some beer if ya'll are good. Now I figure to drink some crown while I'm smoking them briskets, but with a 12-14 hour cooking shift, I should be sober by the time it's needs to be sliced and served. if not, be sure and show me which end of the knife to use. Help out a pard! this will be a "no fee" event for another year. The club will use funds on hand to cover all Shindig expenses for our members. Non members we like can eat with us, but must pay shooting fees. There will some prize drawings at lunch time along with handing out the annual awards. |

Texicans and visitors, Dusty Chambers is cooking up some fun scenarios as well as good grub for the last monthly match of the year, Saturday October 9, 2010. So we'll be shoot'n and then eat'n. Plan to attend! And we'll present awards for the winners of each category in monthly matches for the year through September. You must have participated in at least five matches in the category to be eligible for an award. So look at the score sheets to see whether you've qualified in one category. |

Yeah- what Ellie said. I got to mention this to the board members, but would like to let all the volunteers and the Texican Ranger club as a whole know that this was an excellent match from a visitor/participant point of view. First time at your range and I'm looking forward to coming back. I hope the TG's are in favor of a repeat next year. |
